The 2023 sailing season is in full swing!

Every weekend one of our boats sails from Amsterdam IJburg to Pampus Fortress Island, where you can discover the history of this special world heritage site and enjoy coffee, lunch or a drink. The ferry service runs every Saturday and Sunday. From May 4 to September 1 there are additional departures on Thursdays and Fridays. The boat takes about 45 minutes and you have 2.5 hours to discover the island before sailing back. Read more about the activities on the island below or click on the yellow button to buy tickets directly.

Activities on Pampus

Fort Island Pampus is located in the IJmeer between Amsterdam and Muiden. It was built more than 125 years ago as a fortress to protect access to Amsterdam. The island is part of the New Dutch Waterline and the Defense Line of Amsterdam (UNESCO World Heritage List). During your visit, discover everything about life on the island and where the term “being in front of Pampus” comes from.
